Business overview
Evolution supplies online casino operators with live dealer games, game shows, slots and other computer-generated casino games. It produces live games in studios and distributes its content through the operators’ websites and apps. Revenue comes mainly from commissions linked to operators’ gaming winnings, with additional fees for dedicated tables and related services.
Players use casino operators; operators distribute Evolution games and pay under their commercial agreements. Evolution revenue is not player wagers or the operators’ entire gaming revenue. Live Casino production and RNG software have different cost structures.
What it can affect next · second-order effects
New studios add capacity and costs before demand is established. Restricted distribution can reduce revenue while some costs remain. New game releases measure activity, not the commercial success of those games.
Operating interpretation; not a forecast. Dated evidence and disclosure limits remain in the metrics and source sections.
Operator distribution → Live and RNG demand → capacity → margins → cash
The distribution flywheel.
An operating framework to test
Distribute attractive games across more operators and markets. Use growing demand to support productive studios and cash generation, then reinvest in content, capacity, technology and compliant access.

Games players want
Traditional casino games, live game shows and RNG titles create the content operators can offer.
↻ Distribution can grow the audience for proven games. Product development can both preserve demand and create new demand.
Live casino
Real-time production
Studios stream dealers and game shows to operators' players. Shared tables, dedicated tables and different game formats have different capacity and cost structures. Traditional blackjack has limited main seats; infinite formats can serve a much larger audience.
Computer-generated outcomes support slot and table-game titles. Development, distribution, royalties and ongoing technical support still cost money. Live Casino and RNG revenue should be assessed separately because their growth and production economics differ.
Players transact with casino operators. Evolution supplies the content and technology on a business-to-business basis. Its main revenue source is a percentage of operators' winnings generated through its games, with monthly fees for dedicated tables and smaller setup fees.
Player wagers are not Evolution revenue. Neither operator gaming revenue nor game rounds can be treated as Evolution's sales without accounting for the revenue-sharing arrangement.

Games, revenue and cash
Between 2022 and 2025, annual releases rose from 88 to 113. Revenue grew 41.9% and calculated FCF grew 43.5%. These group-level changes do not establish how much growth came from new games, older games, acquisitions, new markets or currency movements.
The 2025 divergence: 113 releases accompanied revenue growth of just 0.2% and an FCF decline of 3.8%. Cash capex eased slightly; lower operating cash flow explains the cash decline. This is a reason to investigate demand and distribution, rather than assume more releases automatically mean more growth.

One first-principles check
If new game development paused, could existing games still grow through wider distribution? What would determine how long that could continue?
Reveal the reasoning
Existing titles could reach new operators and markets while demand remains durable. But development can also protect the existing revenue base from changing preferences and competitors. Evaluate geographic growth, sustained game demand and cash returns together. A larger catalogue alone does not demonstrate a stronger business.

Follow content demand, distribution, productive capacity and cash. Each metric explains its purpose, calculation and limits.
Financial amounts are EUR millions unless labelled. North America includes Canada. Missing observations remain unavailable; approximate counts retain their qualifiers.

Selected operating disclosures
Capacity is not utilisation.More tables or studios show additional supply. Without consistently defined usage and returns, they cannot establish operating leverage or profitable expansion.
Global reach, returns & risks.
The expansion case depends on durable demand, compliant distribution and cash returns on the capital invested.
Two connected sources of growth
Distribution: bring existing and new titles to more operators and markets, and deepen their use where Evolution already operates.
Product development: create formats that add demand and keep the existing catalogue competitive. Some spending supports growth; some may be necessary to maintain existing earnings. The public accounts do not provide a dependable split between those purposes.
Higher group revenue can come from several sources at once. Revenue divided by annual new releases is not revenue earned by each new game. Likewise, cumulative launches are not the active catalogue: titles may be retired, restricted or unavailable in particular markets.
Global expansion
Distribution must produce cash
A successful game can serve another audience, but market entry may require licensing, local studios, staffing and technical changes. Ramp-up costs can arrive before revenue. Assess mature operations and new expansion separately where disclosures allow.
Evidence: regional revenue, product growth, cash investment, ongoing operating costs and realised returns. A complete public series of studio-level cash returns is unavailable.
Margin trade-off
More cash can justify a lower margin
A new operation can earn a lower percentage margin than the existing group while increasing total cash earnings. The result depends on how much capital it needs and whether cash flows endure.
Evidence: incremental earnings, cash after maintenance and expansion investment, and FCF per share. A high group margin alone does not establish that the next investment creates value.
How margins combine
Group operating margin is total operating profit divided by total revenue. A business mix change can lower the group percentage while total operating profit increases. Capital spending, tax, working capital and lease payments determine how much of that profit becomes cash.
Read historical regional revenue, operating margins, cash investment and FCF together. The accounts do not establish a complete series of returns for individual studios.
US opportunity comes state by state
Market access, operator approval and studio requirements shape the pace of expansion. Growth can also come from new products and deeper use in existing markets. Slow legalisation can limit the opportunity without causing every existing state's revenue to decline.
North American revenue includes Canada. RNG availability, live-game availability and a physical studio are different forms of presence. Do not use one as a count of the others.
Studios, games and integrations can spread some fixed costs over more activity. Dealer staffing, dedicated tables and local infrastructure still expand with demand. Live production has a different cost structure from distributing software slots.
Watch: revenue growth against personnel costs, cash capex and margins; table additions alongside demand. Revenue per closing table mixes products and timing and is not a clean utilisation measure.
Competition and customer choice
The working advantage is the combination of attractive content, production scale, integrations and reliable delivery. Operators can offer several suppliers, so distribution relationships do not make demand permanent.
Watch: product-level growth, operator adoption, service reliability and customer concentration. Compare live casino and RNG separately. A claim of leadership is not a verified market-share series or a permanent monopoly.
Capital allocation and execution
Studio openings, content development, acquisitions and repurchases use capital differently. A share-count reduction can lift per-share results while total cash flow weakens. Acquisition-driven growth needs to be assessed alongside purchase price and integration costs.
Watch: total FCF and FCF per share together, development spending, acquisitions and management's dated commitments against subsequent delivery. No management-quality score is inferred from margins alone.

How to read the measures
Net revenue
Revenue from the operating business, excluding other operating income. Changes in acquisition-related contingent consideration can affect accounting income without representing customer demand.
Adjusted EBITDA
Company alternative performance measure excluding other operating revenues where applicable. Compare it with statutory earnings and cash flows; it is not cash available to shareholders.
Free cash flow used here
Operating cash flow minus cash purchases of tangible and intangible assets, including capitalised development. Before acquisitions and financing-classified lease payments. This is a calculated subtotal, not a claim that all cash is distributable.
Cash after leases and capex
The above FCF less reported lease cash payments. This provides a second view of cash after contractual studio and office costs. Interest and tax already included in operating cash flow are not deducted twice.
FCF per share
Calculated FCF divided by the period's weighted-average basic shares. It is a period-flow measure, not cash divided by the year-end share count. Compare matching annual or half-year periods.
New releases versus active games
Annual launches across the group are a flow of new titles. They do not give total active catalogue size, game-level revenue, retention, successful launches or incremental demand.
Regulated-market revenue
A company-reported geographical/revenue classification. It does not establish a regulator's approval of every distribution channel or prove all other revenue is unlawful. Read jurisdiction-specific requirements and controls separately.
Comparability and disclosure notes
What public reporting does not establish
Complete comparable series for active players, retention, revenue by game, net additional demand from new releases, studio utilisation, realised returns by studio and maintenance-only capex are not established here. They remain disclosure gaps rather than estimated facts.
Global revenue is not evidence that a particular game's international rollout succeeded. Historic margins do not establish future margins. Management explanations for disruption are attributed rather than treated as independently proven causes.
